Christine Darin-Marketing Director

I am the Marketing Director for Rookery Radio. I’m a journalism major with a telecommunications minor.  I enjoy going to concerts, reading books and watching movies. Some of my favorite musicians/bands are the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jack Johnson.

I maintain Rookery’s social media accounts to keep all our fans updated about what’s happening with the station. I help to organize events and promote them. I coordinate promotions, contests and give- aways for the station, or whatever else needs to be done.

HELLO! my name is Patrick Bascom and I am the Sales Manager for Rookery Radio. I also host a show on the station on Mondays. I am new to Rookery Radio as well as radio in general. I heard about the opportunity of the new student run radio and was hooked. I think that if you are not proactive in life it will pass you by. I am a Communication Major and Political Science Minor at Youngstown State University. My goal as Sales Manager is to help create an environment that will benefit companies and our students.

Nancy Barker-Program and Traffic Director

Hi everyone!  My name is Nancy Barker and I am the Program & Traffic Director for Rookery Radio.  My title pretty much sums up what I do … I organize the shows you hear and make sure you get the best jocks possible!  I coordinate Rookery’s djs and try to ensure that there is something for everyone within our weekly schedule.

Outside of Rookery Radio, I am a Graduate Assistant in the Office of the Registrar at Youngstown State University and I am working towards my Masters in Counseling with the intent to work in Student Affairs.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from YSU and have had a long-time passion and interest in radio!  Besides my love of YSU and Rookery Radio, I am a single mom of an amazing 6 year old princess that fills in the few free moments I have.

Sam Ameen-Sports Director

Hey how’s it going? I’m Sam Ameen the sports director at Rookery Radio. I’m a senior and I graduate this semester with a degree in communications with a media track. Dan Gillam – Technical Engineer

Hey Rookery Radio Nation I’m Dan Gillam Technical Director/ engineering /jack-of-all-trades. My job is all that in a nutshell I’m like the radio version of Scotty from star trek. Captain I cant give her more power. Ha-ha I strive to bring the rookery radio nation the best signal possible by keeping the equipment working in good working condition when it decides to give me trouble. I spring into action. I also have a show on Rookery Radio called the Dan radio show from 9-11 playing music from the 70’s to today so give us a listen.

Outside of the radio station I’m a senior in Communications media track with a minor in telecommunications. I actually did a semester on Homework Express before Rookery Radio so I have a somewhat television background, but I enjoy radio a lot more.
